DESIGNED AROUND THE DELIVERY
We’re developing a cargo drone with a focused purpose: move useful payloads over short distances while reducing the sound of flight. From rotor selection to the payload compartment, every decision starts with that mission.

ABOUT EVERSTEEL
Eversteel Technologies is a student-led aerospace engineering team from TU Delft, united by a shared ambition to make aviation quieter, more efficient, and better suited to everyday use.
Our team consists of motivated students with a strong interest in engineering, innovation, and aircraft design. Through the development of Valdeira-1, we aim to explore the potential of low-noise aerial delivery and contribute to more practical and less disruptive cargo transport solutions.
Under the technical supervision of Dr. Daniele Ragni of TU Delft, we are working to translate our academic knowledge into a functional aircraft prototype and meaningful engineering results.
A FEW MORE DETAILS
Valdeira-1 is the cargo drone in development at Eversteel Technologies, a student team focused on quieter flight. Development currently covers aircraft configuration, propulsion, aerodynamics, payload integration and battery sizing.
The design brief targets a 5 kg payload and a cargo envelope of 0.50 × 0.50 × 0.50 m. These remain design requirements to be demonstrated through testing.
The acoustic objective is 50 dB(A), with hover measurement 5 m vertically below the aircraft. Sound performance has not yet been measured. Testing will cover hover, cruise, take-off and landing, with both loaded and empty aircraft.
The planned sequence is a 2 km outbound flight with cargo, manual landing on a flat 3 × 3 m area, stopping the motors, unloading and returning empty over 2 km.
The project is in conceptual design. The physical prototype, final hardware choices and flight-test programme are still ahead. The images show renders of the current Valdeira-1 design.
